The Birth Of In The Pits...
In The Pits was formed in 2000, by brothers John and Larry Lowrey, as a marketing tool for the promotion of grass roots racing in the Midwest.

It only seemed obvious with the popularity of NASCAR, that the local racing level should see a spurt of growth as well. When looking at the mainstream media, fans can find racing information on all the professional levels. Yet something was missing for the 'weekend' warriors! Fans still wanted to receive the information about these individuals, but they couldn't.

To fill the void of this problem, the Lowrey brothers, came up with the idea for a racing related website, where fans could find pictures, results and articles on their favorite drivers or tracks. From the website, a two hour radio show was spawned. Now, not only could fans look up the information on local racing, they would be able to hear what their favorites in the local racing scene had to say! The void was still not satisfied.

Birth Of The ITP Pit Shop...
When we look back at the evolution of this company, you see that the Lowrey family has been involved in racing for more than 50 years. In the middle 90's, the group took a shot at the retail industry. A successful run for 2 years led to the beginnings of In The Pits, but to concentrate on the new venture, the retail shop was removed from the fold.

In 2008, In The Pits has been restructured to fit all the needs of the local race fans in the Midwest. The parent company, ITP Marketing, holds 4 different divisions.
• A Management Company - Division designed to help local drivers promote their own racing careers, through PR and Merchandising.
• Web Development Company - Division designed to help racers put their race team on the world wide web at an affordable price.
• Production Company - In The Pits is staying with their original design for promoting the sport of racing. In 2008 the company will do a 2 hour weekly internet broadcast, as well the airing of 10 (1 hour episodes) of a new internet video broadcast, ITP Winners.
• ITP Shop - The last of the new divisions for ITP. This shop will be designed for the race fans by race fans. Items from collectibles to parts will be located in the shop. From national to the local ranks, fans will have a chance to find those items that they truly want!

As In The Pits moves into 2008, it is done with great excitement! Not only will ITP be bringing you all the stuff that you have enjoyed from the promotion of racing, now they are going to bring you great deals on getting those particular race items you want!!!
